Nik Van Dam has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Currently, they serve as the COO Strategy & Delivery Lead at ING Italia since April 2023. Prior to this, they worked as the Transformation Director at ING Italia from May 2021 to April 2023. Before joining ING Italia, Nik held various positions at ING Česká republika, including Chief Marketing Officer from June 2018 to May 2021 and Head of Marketing & Digital Channels from June 2017 to June 2018. Nik also has extensive experience at ING Nederland, where they worked as the Marketing Manager from June 2015 to May 2017, Manager of Product Management from March 2012 to May 2015, Head of Operations from June 2011 to March 2013, and Lean Six Sigma Black Belt from April 2007 to June 2011. Prior to their roles at ING, they worked as an Analyst at Finance Functional Effectiveness at PricewaterhouseCoopers from February 2006 to March 2007. Additionally, Nik has gained experience as a Marketing Trainee at the Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency in 2005, a Graduate Trainee at the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the United Kingdom in 2004, and in Operations at Privium from 2001 to 2004.
Nik Van Dam completed a leadership program in ING Think Forward at the London Business School / Authentic Leadership Institute from 2017 to 2018. Earlier, from 2012 to 2014, Nik pursued an MSc in Strategic Marketing Leadership Program at Henley Business School. In 1997, Nik obtained a Master of Science degree in Bedrijfsinformatiesystemen from the University of Amsterdam. Prior to that, Nik attended Casablanca American School and completed an International Baccalaureate from 1986 to 1997. Nik also holds a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
