Jürgen Göbel

Jürgen Göbel has a diverse work experience in various roles and positions. Jürgen started their career in 2002 as the Director of Global Product Marketing at Hypercom/Thales and held this position until 2011. In the same year, they joined Deutsche Telekom as the Head of Product Management, where they were responsible for the NFC/Mobile Payment product line. After four years, Jürgen joined Ingenico in 2015 as the Marketing Director, and later became the Business Development Director for Ingenico Smart Terminals & Solutions in the DACH region. During their tenure at Ingenico, Jürgen also served as a member of the board of the Initiative Deutsche Zahlungsysteme e. V. Overall, Jürgen has gained significant experience and expertise in the fields of product management, marketing, and business development within the payment systems industry.

Jürgen Göbel obtained a Diplom-Ingenieur in Electrical Engineering (Graduate Engineer) with a specialization in Telecommunications from Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences between 1985 and 1989. Jürgen then pursued a Diplom-Wirtschaftsingenieur (Graduate Economic Engineer) in Business Administration and Management at Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences from 1989 to 1991. Additionally, they completed their diploma work in the field of radio frequencies, linked to their studies in Darmstadt, at Université de Paris X, France in 1988.
