Hari Balasubramanian

Hari Balasubramanian has had a long and varied career in the venture capital and startup space. In 2010, they became a Member at Indian Angel Network, where they were an active angel investor and led several deals. In 2013, they became an Advisor at IvyCap Ventures Private Limited, where they focused on investing in early and growth stage companies. In 2019, they became the Lead of the Early Adopters Syndicate at LetsVenture. In 2023, they became the Lead Investor and Mentor at House of Beriyan, a cloud kitchen specializing in Indian Biryani and Kepsa. Hari also served as Lead Investor and Board Observer at Apto.ai from 2019 to December 2022, Lead Investor and Advisor at Ingenium Education in 2022, Lead Investor and Mentor at Brevistay in 2022, Lead Investor and Advisor at Cheelizza in 2022, and Lead Investor and Mentor at Toffee Coffee Roasters in 2022. In 2020, they became a Member of the Investment Committee at IIM Calcutta Innovation Park, where they contributed to the evaluation of deals, funding decisions, mentoring, and advising of the startup ecosystem.

Hari Balasubramanian received their Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical from the University of Calcutta between 1980 and 1984. Hari also obtained their SSC in General Studies from Nava Nalanda between 1968 and 1977. Additionally, they obtained a SAP FICO certification from SAP in June 2006.
