Garry Tan

Garry Tan is the managing partner at Initialized Capital, a position they have held since 2015. Prior to that, they were a partner at Y Combinator, where they helped over 700 startups over the course of 5 years. Garry also cofounded Posterous.com, where they ran full stack design and development. Garry has been hailed in the design community for their focus on no-setup no-signup first time experience, and has been featured in Designing Social Interfaces published by O'Reilly and The Smashing Book by Smashing Magazine.

Garry Tan studied computer systems engineering at Stanford University, where they earned a bachelor's degree.
