Amgad Barakat

Amgad Barakat has extensive work experience in the field of information technology. Amgad began their career in 1993 as the Founder, Instructor, and General Manager at Data Computer Center. Amgad then worked as a HW Support Engineer at Al-Ahmed Computer Center from 1995 to 1997. In 1997, they became a Network Administrator at High Technology Institute (HTI) 10th of Ramadan City until 1999, when they transitioned to the role of an Instructor at New Horizons Computer Learning Center Ciro until 2001. From 2001 to 2005, they served as a Senior System Engineer at Bahrain Institute of Technology. In 2007, they joined Interactive Limited as a Senior IT Administrator until 2008 when they moved to KHDA as a Senior IT Specialist until 2012. In 2012, they began working at Carma as an IT Infrastructure Manager, overseeing IT system engineers and network admins in all branches, managing IT projects, and administering servers and networks. Amgad also held the role of IT Infrastructure Manager at Interactive Limited from 2012 to 2015, where they managed Exchange 2010 DAG Cluster, HP SAN MSA, IBM DS3500 Storage, Infortrend DAS, and IBM Blade Servers. Since 2015, Amgad has been working as a Senior Information Technology Specialist at Injazat Data Systems, where they manage servers for various customers in UAE, designs and implements servers, and troubleshoots server issues.

Amgad Barakat completed their B.Sc. in Engineering, specializing in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering, from Zagazig University between 1987 and 1993. Amgad also obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in the same field during the same period.

In terms of certifications, Amgad Barakat earned various credentials from Microsoft, including Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator: Messaging (MCSA) in August 2003, Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer: Windows Server 2003 (MCSE) in May 2003, Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT) in August 2001, Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer: Windows 2000 Server (MCSE) in May 2001, and Microsoft Certified IT Professional in July 2000. Amgad also holds the ITIL Foundation Level certification from AXELOS Global Best Practice, obtained in December 2019, and the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute, achieved in July 2020.
