Majid Farid

Majid Farid has extensive experience in the technology and telecommunications industry. Majid is currently working as a Senior Commercial Manager at Injazat, where they are responsible for developing and implementing strategies for product catalogue management and digitizing the product catalogue. Majid also ensures timely and successful product releases and provides guidance to internal stakeholders and customers on product features and benefits.

Prior to their current role, Majid worked at Ericsson for several years. During their time there, they held various positions, including Senior Manager Techno-Commercial (MEA), Head of IT Managed Services Pre-Sales, Operational Excellence Manager, and IT Operations Manager. In these roles, they developed commercial strategies, led large IT and Telecom Managed Services engagements, managed operations and resources, and set up network operations centers.

Before joining Ericsson, Majid worked at Warid Telecom Limited as an Assistant Manager Network Services (Security), where they developed security policies, mapped processes, and designed network infrastructure.

Majid began their career at Telecom Ottawa as an ISP Specialist, where they supported ISP services, enhanced infrastructure, and configured routers for DSL termination.

Majid started their career as a NOC Engineer at Mobilink GSM (Orascom), where they managed LAN/WAN systems, reacted to network alarms, and redesigned WAN and LAN networks.

Overall, Majid Farid has a strong background in commercial strategy, managed services, operations management, and network infrastructure.

Majid Farid received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Windsor, which they attended from 1998 to 2001. In addition, they have earned various certifications throughout their career. Majid obtained the "SET2WIN Sales Foundation BSS Badge 2023" from Ericsson in February 2023. Majid also completed the "Google Cloud Fundamentals: Core Infrastructure" course offered by Coursera in July 2022. Furthermore, they obtained the "AWS IoT: Developing and Deploying an Internet of Things" certification from AWS IoT in May 2022. Majid completed the "Customer-Centric IT Strategy" course from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business in February 2022. Additionally, they earned a certification in "Digital Transformation" from the same institution in August 2020. Majid completed the course "New Product Development For Small Businesses and Start-Ups" on Coursera in August 2020. Majid also obtained the "Foundation Of Everyday Leadership" certification from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign via Coursera in July 2020. In 2017, they earned the "Blockchain Master" certification from The School of Data Science. Lastly, they obtained the "Business Strategy" certification from PwC in May 2014.
