Lídia Montero has worked as an associate professor at Barcelona Tech- Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) since December 1998. In this role, they have taught courses on data collection, interpretation, and modeling, analytics, generalized linear models, and random utility models. Lídia has also conducted research on transportation models, planning and simulation, demand analysis, and OD matrix estimation using Kalman filtering and simulation-optimization techniques.
In 2014, Lídia Montero began working as a researcher in the Transportation and Wise Mobility Area at inLab FIB. Lídia is currently in this position, and no end date has been provided.
Prior to these roles, Lídia Montero worked as a Transportation Planning Consultant at Advanced Logistics Group, ALG, from September 1991 to September 1994.
Lídia Montero obtained their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, where they studied from 1981 to 1986. Following this, they pursued further education at BarcelonaTech - UPC, also known as the Technical University of Catalonia, from 1986 to 1991. There, they successfully completed their Ph.D. in Computer Science and Software Engineering.
