Cathal Gallagher

Cathal Gallagher has extensive work experience in research and development and information technology roles. From July 2010 to the present, they have worked at Inland Fisheries Ireland as the Head of Research and Development and later as the Head of Information Technology. Prior to that, they served as the Director of Research and Development at Central Fisheries Board from 2007 to July 2010. Cathal also worked as the R&D Program Manager at ABB Ltd from February 2004 to 2007. From January 2001 to February 2004, they were the Engineering Section Manager at Nortel Networks and from 1996 to 2001, they served as the AMST Software Development Leader at Motorola.

Cathal Gallagher obtained a Master's Degree in Business Administration from Queen's University Belfast in 2017. Prior to this, from 1987 to 1996, Gallagher pursued their education at the University of Galway, where they earned a B.E. in Engineering and a M.Eng.SC as well as a PhD in Computer integrated Engineering.
