Simon Burbidge

Simon Burbidge has a diverse work experience that spans over 15 years. Simon started their career as an Avionics Technician at Monarch Technical Support and Raytheon Systems Ltd, where they were involved in major aircraft conversion projects for the RAF/Army. Simon then worked as a Field Support Engineer for Thales Group, ensuring smooth operations and troubleshooting aircraft systems. Simon also served as a Line Maintenance Manager at Thales Group Libya, overseeing IFE maintenance activities for a commercial airline. Simon later joined Thales Group France as a Field Support Engineer, followed by a role as a Product Specialist at Thales Group, where they were responsible for reviewing and generating maintenance procedures. Simon then became a System Support Manager at Thales, and more recently, they worked as an Operations Manager at THALES UK LIMITED. Currently, they hold the position of Field Support Team Lead at Inmarsat.

Simon Burbidge completed their education at the RAF from 1986 to 1999, where they earned a BTEC National Diploma in aeronautical electrical engineering. Prior to that, they attended Alderman Newtons from 1978 to 1984, but no degree or field of study information is provided for this period.
