Roxanne Clark has a diverse work experience. Roxanne started their career as a Marketing Intern at Turner Broadcasting, where they conducted research and created presentations on product placement trends. Roxanne then worked as a Campus Coordinator and Public Relations Intern at The Economic Empowerment Initiative Inc, where they developed and administered public relations campaigns and conducted seminars on financial management.
In 2013, Roxanne joined ICEF Public Schools as a Classroom Teacher, teaching various subjects to students, including English Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies. Roxanne successfully helped improve students' reading levels throughout the school year.
At Los Angeles County Office of Education-LACOE, Roxanne worked as an Induction Mentor, guiding new teachers through reflection cycles and helping them obtain their California clear credentials.
Since 2018, Roxanne has been working at ICEF Public Schools in various roles. As a Literacy Specialist, they analyzed reading data, formed intervention groups, and implemented effective literacy instruction. Roxanne later became an Instructional Coach/Specialist, designing and implementing professional development sessions for teachers across the district. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Elementary Instruction, where they oversee elementary education and provides leadership in curriculum development.
Roxanne also worked as an Adjunct Professor at Alder Graduate School of Education, delivering graduate-level literacy content courses and collaborating on the development of course materials.
Roxanne Clark pursued their education in a chronological manner. From 2003 to 2007, they attended Clark Atlanta University, where they obtained a Bachelor's of Arts degree in Public Relations. Later, from 2011 to 2013, Roxanne enrolled at the University of Southern California to pursue a Masters in Teaching.
