Deepapriya Vishwanathan has a diverse work experience in the field of psychology. Deepapriya started their career as a school counselor at St. Anne's High School in 2011. Deepapriya then worked as a research coordinator at Saksham, Tata Institute of Social Sciences in 2012. In 2013, they served as a fieldwork supervisor at Tata Institute of Social Sciences. Deepapriya joined Manas Mental Health Care Centre as a clinical psychologist in 2014 and also worked as a consulting psychologist at Sheila Raheja Institute of Architecture, Hospitality & Management during the same period. In 2014, they became an assistant professor at The Banyan and a visiting lecturer at Vivekananda Degree College of Arts, Commerce, and Science. Additionally, they worked as a psychologist at MPower Foundation in 2016. Since 2017, Deepapriya has been working as a Senior Consulting Psychologist at Amaha (formerly InnerHour). Throughout their career, they have gained experience in counseling, group therapy, workshops, and one-to-one therapy sessions.
Deepapriya Vishwanathan completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Psychology at K.V.Pendharkar college from 2005 to 2008. Deepapriya then pursued their M.A in Clinical Psychology at the University of Mumbai from 2008 to 2010. In 2010-2011, Deepapriya earned a Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling Psychology from Xavier's Institute of Counselling Psychology. Deepapriya proceeded to obtain an Advanced Diploma in Counselling from Prafulta- Don Bosco in 2014-2015. Lastly, Deepapriya completed their Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.) in Social Sciences at the Tata Institute of Social Sciences from 2012 to 2014.
