Kaitlyn Kelly

Kaitlyn Kelly has a diverse work experience in the field of plant science and research. Kaitlyn is currently working as a Senior Research Associate at InnerPlant since January 2023. Prior to this position, they worked as a Senior Associate Scientist at Demetrix from September 2020 to February 2023.

Before joining Demetrix, Kaitlyn was a Research Assistant II at Lygos from February 2018 to September 2020. Kaitlyn gained valuable experience during this time. Preceding their role at Lygos, they worked as a Junior Specialist at Leveau Lab UC Davis Plant Pathology, where they contributed from June 2015 to February 2018.

Kaitlyn's early work experience includes a position as a Laboratory Assistant in the Department of Plant Pathology at the University of California, Davis. In this role, they were responsible for various laboratory tasks such as testing plants and insects for the presence of plant viruses using DNA and RNA extraction techniques, PCR, and gel electrophoresis. Kaitlyn also handled data organization in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint and performed minipreps for plasmid DNA screening.

With a strong background in plant science and research, Kaitlyn has gained expertise and practical skills throughout their career.

Kaitlyn Kelly attended the University of California, Davis from 2011 to 2015, where they obtained a degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Kaitlyn'sfield of study focused on Biochemistry and Molecular Biology during their time at the university.
