Director Of Software And Firmware Engineering at InnoPhase

Piers O'Hanlon has extensive work experience in the software and firmware engineering field. Piers began their career as a Systems Engineer at Continental Microwave Technology Ltd. in 1993, and later worked as a Software Design Engineer at Nokia Telecommunications Ltd. from 1995 to 1997. Piers then joined Hughes Network Systems as a Senior Member of Technical Staff from 1997 to 2004. During this time, Piers served as a Software Team Lead at NextWave Wireless / NextWave Broadband / Cygnus Multimedia, where they played a key role in developing WiMAX (802. 16e) Protocol Chipset Software. In 2009, they became a Principal and Lead Software Consultant, and most recently, Piers served as the Director of Software and Firmware Engineering at INNOPHASE starting in 2020.

Piers O'Hanlon obtained a Bachelor of Science in Electronic Engineering (B.Sc (E.E)) from the University of Cape Town, where they studied from 1988 to 1992. Before that, between 1982 and 1987, they attended Diocesan College (Bishops) for an unspecified degree and field of study.
