Michael Smith, MBA has a diverse work history in various leadership roles.
Starting in 1998, they worked at Quilogy, Inc. where they began as a Consultant and gradually advanced to Senior Managing Consultant/Managing Consultant/Consultant. During their time at Quilogy, they were responsible for managing consulting and business operations in Kansas City, overseeing strategic client engagements, and developing key partnerships with vendors and software providers.
In 2006, Smith joined Thermo Fisher Scientific as the Director of IT for the Americas, where they led IT operations supporting manufacturing/supply chain and played a key role in the IT integration of multiple M&A transactions. Michael later became the Senior Director of IT - Specialty Diagnostics, where they reduced operational expenses and developed a world-class IT organization.
Smith joined the American Academy of Family Physicians in 2015 as the Vice President & Chief Information Officer, overseeing the organization's IT functions until 2022. During their tenure, they played a pivotal role in the organization's IT projects and strategic initiatives.
In 2022, Smith founded their own company, P4S, LLC, and assumed the role of Founder. Shortly after, they also took on the position of Chief Information Officer at InnovaPrep LLC.
Michael Smith holds a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree from the University of Phoenix, with a focus on Administration of Justice. Michael also has a Bachelor's Degree in Administration of Justice from the College of the Ozarks. Additionally, Michael has obtained MCSE, MCDBA, and MCT certifications from Microsoft.
