Jean Quirion has a diverse work experience with various companies. From 2017 onwards, they have been working as the Vice President of Research and Development at Innovasea. Prior to this, they worked at Ultra Maritime from 2010 to 2017, where they held multiple roles including Program Manager for Advanced Underwater Sensing Systems and Senior Systems Engineer. Before that, they worked at Cobham from 2005 to 2010 as a Product Manager and Senior R&D Engineer. Their earliest work experience was at International Rectifier Automotive from 2001 to 2005, where they worked as a Development Engineer. Jean started their career at Amirix Systems as an Electronics Developer from 1999 to 2000.
Jean Quirion holds a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering (M.A.Sc) from Dalhousie University, which they obtained from 2002 to 2004. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (B.Sc.EE) at the University of New Brunswick from 1996 to 2001. In addition to their formal education, Jean has obtained several certifications, including Modern Application Development with Python on AWS from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in August 2022, Entrepreneurship Essentials from Harvard Business School Online in May 2022, Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) Specialization from DeepLearning.AI in November 2021, Disruptive Strategy from Harvard Business School Online in April 2021, Deep Learning Specialization from DeepLearning.AI in July 2018, Neural Networks for Machine Learning from the University of Toronto in June 2017, and Machine Learning from Stanford Online in October 2016.
