Henk Werner A.k.a the Map

Henk Werner, known as The Map, currently serves as the Shenzhen Branch Manager at Hani Coffee Co. since April 2023, where community engagement is fostered through interactive coffee tastings. From August 2021, Henk has contributed as a Hardware Startup Coach at Innovation Drive, assisting everyday inventors in their ideation stages. As CEO of Trouble Maker since June 2016, Henk has built a global community for hardware product development and manufacturing in Shenzhen. Additional leadership experience includes serving as Director at Shenzhen Baoan Foreign Languages Association (2017-2021), where integration of expats and socioeconomic development were prioritized, and as Technisch Directeur at Caenator B.V. (2014-2020), where a pioneering vending machine for fries was developed. Henk’s career also includes roles as an LED Display Consultant and Manager of the Technical Department at various companies, along with a background as a self-employed watchmaker. Henk holds a Master’s degree in Communication from IVCN (1996-1999) among other educational qualifications.
