William Backus

William Backus has a diverse work history spanning multiple companies and roles. William began their career at AT&T in 1981 as a Senior Technical Associate, where they defined system requirements and developed network management software. William then joined Bell Labs Lucent Technologies in 1987 as a Member of Technical Staff, focusing on technical marketing and training for service provider markets. In 2001, they moved to Lucent Technologies as a Distinguished Member of Technical Staff, where they defined eBusiness strategy and developed processes for channel partners. William returned to AT&T in 2005 as a Release Management professional, providing project management and oversight for software delivery. From 2009 to 2012, they worked as a System Tester at AT&T, supporting Performance Monitoring OSS for IP-based services.
