Roland Hatcher

Roland Hatcher is a seasoned music educator and performer with extensive experience in vocal and percussion instruction. Currently serving as the Director of Vocal Music at A B Shepard High School since May 2019, Roland also contributes as the Assistant Worship Leader at Urban Village Church, focusing on music selection and creating impactful worship experiences. As an Educational Sponsored Artist for Innovative Percussion Inc. and a Percussion Instructor at Amos Alonzo Stagg High School, Roland emphasizes high musical standards and effective teaching techniques. Previous roles include conducting the Chicago Children's Choir, directing percussion at Hilliard Bradley High School, and performing as a Section Leader at Mifflin Presbyterian Church. Roland holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Teacher Education from The Ohio State University.
