Lihui Wang

Lihui Wang serves as Lab Head at Innovent Biologics since December 2021, leading projects focused on the development of therapeutic biologics for autoimmune diseases and aging. Previously, Lihui held the role of Senior Scientist and Project Leader, specializing in therapeutic antibody discovery for various conditions, including immune-oncology and neurodegeneration, and successfully guiding interdisciplinary teams from lead generation to IND stage. Prior experience includes a Postdoctoral Research Fellow position at the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases, where research concentrated on protein quality control and unconventional protein secretion, and a Postdoctoral Research Associate role at Justus Liebig University Giessen, examining protein modifications in malaria parasites. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Justus Liebig University Giessen and Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Chemical Biology and Pharmaceutical Sciences from Peking University, respectively.
