Steven Fuhrman is a Meteorologist at Innovim, working at the Climate Prediction Center since March 2015. In this role, Steven prepares regional hazards outlooks and hydrological forecasts in collaboration with USAID/FEWSNET, focusing on improving food security in developing regions of Africa, Central Asia, Central America, and the Caribbean. Previously, Steven served as a Research Assistant at the University at Albany from August 2012 to August 2014, analyzing data to create a global climatology of monsoon troughs and their relationship to tropical cyclone genesis. Additionally, Steven held the position of Graduate Teaching Assistant for meteorological and environmental courses during this time. Earlier experience includes an internship with the Lehigh Valley Planning Commission, assisting with data acquisition and GIS tasks. Steven holds a Master of Science in Atmospheric Sciences and Meteorology from the University at Albany and a Bachelor of Science in the same field from Penn State University.
