Biniam Asmerom

Biniam Asmerom has a diverse work experience, starting with their current role as a Data Science Manager at Innowatts since October 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Sr. Data Scientist at Innowatts from November 2021 to September 2022.

Before joining Innowatts, Biniam worked at CGG for a significant period. Biniam started as a Data Analyst/Imaging Scientist in June 2011 and eventually became an Imaging Scientist Project Leader from October 2014 to October 2016. During their time at CGG, Biniam managed a team and led various 3D seismic imaging projects using big data, applying ML-based algorithms for generating complex velocity models and automatic salt surface interpretation. Biniam also achieved outstanding imaging results for real-time seismic image updates in the Gulf of Mexico.

Biniam's early work experience includes serving as a Graduate Research Assistant at The University of Memphis from August 2006 to May 2011.
