Jonia Alshiek

Jonia Alshiek, MD, MSc, is an accomplished academic urogynecologist with a focus on pelvic floor health. Currently serving as the Head of the Urogynecology and Pelvic Floor Unit at Holy Family Hospital since November 2020, Jonia also holds a position as a urogynecologist at Hillel Yafe Hospital since 2019. Additional roles include alternate faculty at George Mason University - Volgenau School of Engineering and Senior Research Scholar at Inova Fairfax Hospital, both starting in November 2017. Jonia’s training includes a urogynecology fellowship and residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center, as well as an internal medicine residency at Sheba Medical Center. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Medicine (MD) from Technion - Israel Institute of Technology and a Master’s degree in Clinical/Medical Laboratory Science from the same institution. Areas of expertise encompass pelvic floor ultrasonography and pelvic floor surgery.
