Chris Ireland

Chris Ireland has a work history spanning over two decades. Starting in 2000, they worked as a Software Engineer for Entegrity Solutions until 2003. From 2003 to 2008, they held the positions of Senior Software Engineer and then Software Engineering Manager at Thomson Scientific. In 2008, they joined Thomson Reuters, IP & Science, where they worked as the Director of Access and eCommerce Technology until 2010. From 2010 to 2012, they served as the Director and Lead Architect, and from 2012 to 2014, they held the position of Director of Enterprise Architecture at the same company. In 2014, they became the Chief Architect at Taxware, A Sovos Compliance Company until 2015. Moving to Sovos, they worked as the VP of Software Engineering and Chief Architect from 2015 to 2017, and then transitioned to the role of VP of Technology and Architecture, Head of Architecture from 2017 to 2021. Currently, they are the SVP of Consumer Engineering & Enterprise Architecture at Inovalon, a position they have held since 2021.

Chris Ireland has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science from Colby College (1996-2000), a Master of Science degree in Software Engineering from Drexel University (2004-2006), and has also completed graduate coursework in Distributed Computing from Harvard University's Extension Division (2000-2001).
