Richard G. Jones currently serves as the Managing Editor of Opinion at The Philadelphia Inquirer, a position held since July 2021. Prior to this role, Richard held the position of Annenberg-Joyce Director of the John W. Gallivan Program in Journalism, Ethics, and Democracy at the University of Notre Dame from June 2017 to June 2021, where responsibilities included teaching undergraduate journalism courses and managing the program.
