Matt Johnson, CISSP

Matt Johnson, CISSP, has extensive experience in information technology and operations management. Matt currently works at INRIX as the VP of Information and Operations Management (CISO), where they are responsible for building enterprise risk and security management functions. Matt focuses on technology, IT investment, security, risk management, DevOps/DevSecOps, cloud architecture, and CI/CD. Matt creates and executes strategies for technology, security, infrastructure, architecture, and development, with the goal of transforming the enterprise's security stance. Matt also develops security processes and tools, identifies risk areas, and implements security training programs.

Prior to their role at INRIX, Matt served as the Head of IT and Operations (Director) at the same company. In this position, they led efforts to standardize global IT services, improve end-user systems and onboarding processes, and drive the shift from on-premises to outsourced/cloud-based solutions. Matt played a key role in developing the SaaS strategy for the IT and development tools portfolio.

Before joining INRIX, Matt worked at Clearwire as a Senior Manager, IT. Matt was responsible for developing and executing a pre/post-IPO growth strategy to build, transform, and scale the enterprise's technology. Matt leveraged the Cisco partnership to design and build the IT infrastructure supporting the company's long-term business growth objectives. Matt also oversaw operations and consolidation efforts for the global data footprint.

Earlier in their career, Matt held the position of Director, Infrastructure and Operations at Celebrate Express. In this role, they led the digital transformation of the web-based retailer, overseeing the eCommerce platform, network/systems, ERP/WMS applications, call center/voice platform, helpdesk, and compliance (PCI and SOX). Matt directed virtualization, consolidation, and standardization initiatives to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Matt's career in technology started at HouseValues, Inc., where they served as the Chief Engineer and Manager of IT Operations. Matt played a crucial role in building the technology infrastructure necessary for business scalability and growth. Matt led the digital transformation of various systems and platforms, including the eCommerce platform, network/systems, ERP/WMS applications, call center/voice platform, helpdesk, and compliance (PCI and SOX). Matt also implemented virtualization, consolidation, and standardization initiatives.

Throughout their career, Matt Johnson has consistently demonstrated their expertise in technology, security, operations, risk management, and infrastructure.

Matt Johnson attended the University of Washington - Michael G. Foster School of Business from 1997 to 2001, where they studied Business Administration. In terms of certifications, they obtained the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from (ISC)² in August 2022.
