Pete Edwards has a wealth of experience in software development and technical consulting. Pete started their career in 1993 as a Principal Software Engineer at GenRad Ltd, where they led the way in using XML as a format for service manuals and developed inter-process communications components. In 2000, they joined AstraZeneca as a Senior Technical Specialist and Principal Software Engineer, where they delivered a highly visible, global, agile project to build a web application interface on a knowledge base of life sciences data. Pete then moved to F.I. Group as a Consultant, before founding P Edwards Consulting in 2014. At P Edwards Consulting, they worked with a wide range of organisations as a Freelance Technical Consultant. In 2013, they joined Ivy Manchester as the WTC Hub Director, where they hosted and organised teaching evenings and cared for local students. In 2014, they joined 3 Round Stones as a Senior Application Developer, where they delivered a number of Web3.0/LinkedData applications. In 2021, they joined WTC Consulting Limited as a Senior Software Architect, where they are working to make the CDMS available to other colleges. Finally, in 2020, they joined Inrupt as a QA Lead and Software Engineer, where they built the Solid Specification Conformance Test Harness.
Pete Edwards received their Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from The University of Manchester between 1985 and 1989. Pete then went on to pursue their Graduate Diploma in Kingdom Theology from Westminster Theological Centre between 2011 and 2013. Finally, they earned their Master of Arts (MA) in Kingdom Theology from Westminster Theological Centre between 2013 and 2018.
