QA Engineer at Inside Petroleum

Oswaldo Romero has worked in the oil and gas industry since 1997. Oswaldo began their career at Veritas Geoservises as a Seismic Processor, where they were in charge of the entire processing flow from geometry to pre- and post-stack migration. Oswaldo then moved to Halliburton in 2000 as a Software Tester and Consulting, where they were responsible for integrating G&G workflows and providing on-site support to various companies. In 2007, they joined Paradigm as an Applications Geoscientist, where they were in charge of the support department for GeoDepth, Focus, Explore Probe, and Vanguard. Oswaldo was also responsible for organizing and teaching training courses on Focus, Explore, and GeoDepth. In 2009, they began working at BP as a Geophysical Specialist, where they oversaw and performed seismic processing and worked on seismic data analysis. In 2018, they moved to Halliburton as a Tech Advisor Software QA. Most recently, in 2021, they joined Sound QI Solutions Ltd. as a Client Care Specialist, and in 2022 they began working at ComboCurve as a QA Engineer.

Oswaldo Romero obtained a Bachelor's degree in Geophysical Engineering from Universidad Simón Bolívar in 1996. Oswaldo later obtained a Professional Geoscientist (P.Geo) certification from The Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA) in December 2015.
