Tim Wilson

Associate Vice President, Research Programs at SSHRC-CRSH

Tim Wilson has a diverse work experience, with their most recent position being Associate Vice President of Research Programs at Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) since November 2019. Prior to that, they served as the Executive Director of Research Grants and Partnerships at SSHRC from March 2014 to November 2019.

Throughout their career, Tim has also held positions at University of Ottawa as a part-time professor since January 1994, at Public Service Commission of Canada as the Director of Strategic Policy and Planning from February 2011 to March 2014, and at Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat in various roles including Director of Strategic Review Policy Development from January 2010 to February 2011, Director of Parliamentary Reporting and Accountability from April 2008 to January 2010, and Senior Analyst from July 2000 to April 2008.

Tim Wilson earned a Master of Arts (M.A.) in English Language and Literature from the University of New Brunswick, attending from 1991 to 1993. Tim then went on to complete a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in English Literature at the University of Ottawa from 1994 to 1998.
