Jenn Sahmel

Jennifer Sahmel is a seasoned professional in the field of environmental health, currently serving as Managing Principal at Insight Exposure and Risk Sciences since February 2017. Prior to this role, Jennifer held the position of Principal Health Scientist at Cardno ChemRisk from April 2007 to February 2017, and served as Regional Risk Manager for the National Park Service from July 2003 to April 2007. Jennifer's career began as an Industrial Hygienist at the US Environmental Protection Agency from September 2000 to July 2003. Academically, Jennifer holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Environmental Health from the University of Minnesota, completed between 2013 and 2021, and a Master of Public Health in Environmental Health from the University of California, Berkeley, earned from 1994 to 1996.
