Lorenzo Ricciardi Celsi

Head of Artificial Intelligence at Insoore

Lorenzo Ricciardi Celsi has extensive work experience in the fields of Artificial Intelligence, Computer Vision, and NLP applications. Lorenzo began their career in 2014 as a Consultant for the Consorzio per la Ricerca nell'Automatica e nelle Telecomunicazioni, where they managed EU funded initiatives, developed business, and managed bids. In 2016, they took on the role of Consultant for Applied Research to Technologies (ares2t). From 2018 to 2020, they were Manager at ELIS Innovation Hub and Head of the Artificial Intelligence area, where they were responsible for the delivery of 40+ national and international projects, managing a team of 20 professionals, and responsible for the profit and loss of the Academic Partnership area. In 2021, they became a Docente a contratto at the Politecnico di Milano and in 2022 they took on the roles of Head of Artificial Intelligence at Insoore and Lecturer at the Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II. Additionally, from 2018 to 2021, they were a Cultore della materia at Sapienza Università di Roma and from 2015 to 2018, they were a Professore a contratto at Università degli Studi eCampus.

Lorenzo Ricciardi Celsi obtained their Bachelor of Science and Master of Science, summa cum laude, in Electronics and Control Engineering from Sapienza Università di Roma between 2008 and 2013. Lorenzo then obtained their Doctor of Philosophy, cum laude, in Automatique et Traitement du Signal from CentraleSupélec between 2014 and 2017. Lorenzo was also awarded Abilitazione all’esercizio della professione di Ingegnere Industriale and Abilitazione all’esercizio della professione di Ingegnere dell’Informazione from Sapienza Università di Roma in 2015. Lorenzo is currently enrolled in an International Master in Business Administration program at LUISS Business School, which they began in 2020.

In addition to their formal education, Lorenzo has obtained several certifications, including a Qualifié aux fonctions de maître de conférences - Section 61 - Génie informatique, automatique et traitement du signal from the Ministère en charge de l'enseignement supérieur et de la recherche (France) in 2020, a Project Management Professional (PMP)® from the Project Management Institute in 2020, a PRINCE2 Foundation from AXELOS Global Best Practice in 2018, and a Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)® from the Project Management Institute in 2017. Lorenzo has also completed several courses, such as a Deep Learning Specialization from Coursera in 2019, a Machine Learning course from Coursera in 2016, and a Robotics: Aerial Robotics course from Coursera in 2016.
