Mark Batsiyan began their work experience in 2006 as a Management Consultant at Oliver Wyman, where they focused on financial services practice. Mark then worked as an Analyst at Solas Capital Management during their MBA summer and fall. After that, they joined TIAA as a Senior Associate in Corporate Strategy and Development. In 2013, they joined LearnVest as the Director of Business Development, and later became the Senior Director of Business Development and then the Head of Strategy. LearnVest was eventually acquired by Northwestern Mutual in 2015, where Mark transitioned to become a Partner at Northwestern Mutual Future Ventures, a venture capital fund. Most recently, in 2019, Mark became the Co-Founder, Partner, and COO at Inspired Capital.
Mark Batsiyan completed high school at Staten Island Technical High School from 1998 to 2002. Afterwards, they attended Princeton University from 2002 to 2006, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy. Following this, they pursued further education at Columbia Business School from 2010 to 2012, earning a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Finance, Entrepreneurship, and Social Enterprise.
