Max Tan

Max Tan is a highly accomplished musician and educator currently serving as the Concertmaster for Opera Philadelphia and the Artistic Director of Soundbox Ventures. With a strong commitment to music education, Max holds several positions, including Board Member for MUSECONNECT INC and SUNSET CHAMBERFEST, as well as a Violinist with Sarasota Orchestra. Max has been involved in academia as a Faculty Assistant and Teaching Fellow at The Juilliard School since 2018. Additionally, Max has extensive tutoring experience with InstaEDU and has contributed to chamber music as a Chamber Music Assistant with The Perlman Music Program. Max's rigorous educational background culminates in a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from The Juilliard School, alongside multiple degrees in Violin Performance and a Bachelor of Arts in Human Developmental and Regenerative Biology and Music from Harvard University.
