Sasanka Katta has a diverse work experience spanning across various companies. Sasanka has most recently worked at Instawork, joining in 2021, where they hold a role in Marketplace Product. Prior to that, from 2017 to 2021, Sasanka worked at Walmart as a Group Product Manager, leading a team to build a Machine Learning based demand forecasting platform. Sasanka has also worked at Apple from 2015 to 2017, in the role of Worldwide Supply Demand Management, where they successfully managed the launch of iPhone 7 and 7 Plus and optimized supply for iPhone 6s.

Before their time at Walmart and Apple, Sasanka worked at Adobe in a Business Model Strategy Internship in 2014. Prior to that, from 2011 to 2013, they worked at NettPositive Inc as an Associate Manager, and from 2011 to 2012, they also held the position of Sr. Consultant at the same company. And finally, from 2008 to 2011, Sasanka worked at Mu Sigma Business Solutions as a Sr Business Analyst and later as a Business Analyst. In this role, they led various projects, including customer segmentation, marketing activities, and regression modeling, while also mentoring new graduates at Mu Sigma University.

Sasanka Katta completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, from 2013 to 2015. Prior to that, Katta obtained a B.Tech (Hons) degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, from 2004 to 2008.

In addition to formal education, Katta has obtained multiple certifications from Coursera. The certifications include topics such as Deep Learning, Sequence Models, Convolutional Neural Networks, Introduction to TensorFlow for Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning, Architecting with Google Kubernetes Engine: Foundations, Google Cloud Platform Fundamentals: Core Infrastructure, Applied Machine Learning in Python, Introduction to Data Science in Python, Structuring Machine Learning Projects, Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization, Neural Networks and Deep Learning, and Machine Learning. These certifications were obtained between 2017 and 2020.
