Artur Burgiel

Artur Burgiel has a diverse range of work experience spanning over two decades. Their most recent role was at Instil Bio, where they served as the Head of Global Trade Compliance. In this position, they provided project leadership and expertise in import/export matters, ensuring compliance with customs and trade laws and regulations. Artur also acted as a subject matter expert for the import of goods and supervised transactional review processes. Prior to this, Artur worked at AbbVie as a Senior Global Trade Compliance Lead from 2017 to 2022. In this role, they played a key role in overseeing global trade compliance initiatives.

Before joining AbbVie, Artur worked at Progress Rail, a Caterpillar Company, as a Senior International Trade Compliance Analyst. Their responsibilities included supervising and overseeing duty management programs, providing guidance on international transactions, and managing import/export compliance for Canada and Mexico.

Artur also gained experience at Takeda Pharmaceuticals as a Trade Compliance and Import/Export Specialist, where they coordinated global distribution strategies for clinical trial material. Artur was responsible for creating and implementing compliance policies and procedures for pharmaceutical shipments.

Earlier in their career, Artur worked as an Import/Export Specialist at Randstad USA and as an International Logistics Associate/Export Coordinator at Fisher Clinical Services. Artur also served as an Export Documentation Specialist at Mediterranean Shipping Company, where they handled documentation and customer support in the shipping industry.

Artur's work experience also includes a role as a District Manager/Sales Representative at College Craft Enterprises and a Ship's Agent at Keytrade. These experiences have provided him with well-rounded skills and knowledge in various industries.

Artur Burgiel obtained a Master Degree in Logistics and Transport Management from the Technical University of Szczecin, which they attended from 2001 to 2003. Artur also earned a Certificate in International Management Studies from The Upper Silesian School of Commerce from 2001 to 2002. Before that, from 1996 to 2001, they completed their Diploma - Bachelor of Science/ Qualified Engineer in the field of transport at Maritime University Szczecin, specializing in Harbor and Fleet Management. Artur also has a Certificate in Business Communication from the BIR Training Center. In addition to their formal education, Artur Burgiel holds a Diploma in Computerized Office Support Specialist from the BIR Training Center of Chicago. Artur obtained the Export Import Compliance certification from Fisher Clinical Services in November 2013.
