Gerard Pena

Gerard Pena is a research assistant at the Institut Català de Nanociència i Nanotecnologia (ICN2) since December 2022, bringing extensive experience in laboratory settings. Previously, Gerard served as the laboratory manager at FROSCH CHEMIE, S.L. where responsibilities included quality control testing, formulation development, and technical support. Prior roles include laboratory technician at Chemifloor, S.A. and internships at InKemia IUCT Group and GIRO Technological Center, focusing on product development and analytical methods. As a table official for the Federació Catalana de Bàsquetbol, responsibilities involve managing official scores and game timing. Gerard holds a Master’s degree in Organic Chemistry from Universitat de Barcelona, a Master’s degree in Industrial Chemistry from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, and a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from the same institution.
