Jean-Loup Samaan

Jean-Loup Samaan is a distinguished academic and researcher specializing in strategic studies and international security. Currently serving as a Senior Research Fellow at the Middle East Institute at NUS and as an Associate Research Fellow at Ifri, Jean-Loup's previous roles include an Associate Professor at the UAE National Defense College and a Research Advisor at NATO Defense College, where involvement included lecturing in the Middle East Faculty. Additional experience encompasses policy advising for the French Ministry of Defense and defense analysis with the RAND Corporation. Jean-Loup holds a PhD in Political Science from the University of Paris I: Panthéon-Sorbonne, complemented by a Master in International Relations from the same institution and a BA in Politics from Sciences Po Grenoble.
