Alejandra Freire Fernández-Regatillo

Alejandra Freire Fernández-Regatillo is a Senior Scientist at Institut Pasteur de Lille, specializing in neuroscience, data science, programming, and project management since July 2020. Alejandra's expertise includes designing and analyzing experiments related to molecular targets for Alzheimer's Disease and has led to contributions in scientific publications and the development of key technical protocols. Previously, as a neuroscientist at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, Alejandra coordinated research on the effects of high-fat diets on the hypothalamus and mentored multiple students. Early career experience includes a research assistantship at Instituto Cajal, CSIC, where Alejandra published a first article in collaboration with colleagues. Alejandra holds a Doctorado in Biomedicina and advanced degrees in molecular biomedicine and biology from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
