Thorsten Ihne

Thorsten Ihne is a research associate and doctoral candidate at the Institute for Factory Automation and Production Systems of the University of Erlangen–Nuremberg, specializing in electromechanical engineering since September 2022. Previously, Thorsten Ihne held multiple roles at MAHLE from September 2011 to August 2022, including project manager for predevelopment in new products and valvetrain, focusing on managing product development projects and conducting market analysis. Thorsten Ihne completed a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering at FAU Erlangen-Nuremberg and holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics from Hochschule Furtwangen. Additional educational experiences include vocational training as an industrial mechanic and studies at Edinburgh Napier University.
