Carlos Eduardo Mello

Carlos Eduardo Mello is a distinguished academic and researcher in the fields of data science, business analytics, and economics. Since 2018, Carlos has served as the Head of Research at DBEM Think Tank, where the focus is on leveraging data science for social good. Currently, Carlos is also a Professor of Business Analytics at Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro and a Visiting Researcher at Instituto de Pesquisa Econômica Aplicada (Ipea), contributing to research in data analytics, economics, and health. Previously, Carlos held the position of Associate Professor of Data Science at Universidade Federal do Estado do Rio de Janeiro and was an Adjunct Professor of Computer Science at Universidade Federal Rural do Rio de Janeiro. Carlos holds a Doctorat in Informatique from CentraleSupélec and multiple degrees in Systems Engineering and Computer Science from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro.
