David Badia

David Badia has over 20 years of experience in finance and administration, with a focus on the management of non-profit organizations. David is currently the Managing Director at the Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC), where they have worked since 2013. Prior to their current position, David was the General Manager at Centro Nacional de Analisis Genomico from 2010 to 2013. David has also served as the Finance and Administration Director at IRTA from 1998 to 2010.

David’s experience in financial management and administration, as well as their knowledge of public administration and integrated management systems, makes him well-suited for their current role at IBEC. Under their leadership, IBEC has become one of the leading research institutes in Catalonia, Spain. David’s work has helped to ensure the competiveness of our country in the strategic area of genomics.

David Badia holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Universitat Pompeu Fabra. David also has a PMD from Esade and a Master in E-commerce from Universitat Ramon Llull.
