Robert McDonald is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in the energy sector. Currently serving as Principal Engineer and Process Expert at the Institute for Energy Technology since May 2014, Robert provides technical support to the Industrial Psychology Department focusing on operational situations and control room behaviors. Prior roles include Shift Engineer for Unit 2 at Ringhals AB (November 2010 - May 2014), and involvement in the TWICE Project at Westinghouse Electric Company (October 2008 - July 2010), which included a digital upgrade for Ringhals Unit 2. Additionally, Robert worked as SRO and Reactor Operator at TXU from 1990 to 2008, and began a career in the US Navy as an Electricians Mate on the USS Sea Devil SSN664 from February 1987 to October 1990.
