Sathiya Kumar Renganayagalu

Sathiya Kumar Renganayagalu is a Doctoral Researcher at the University of South-Eastern Norway since November 2017, focusing on the applications of wearable virtual reality in maritime education and training. In addition, Sathiya serves as a Research Scientist at the Institute for Energy Technology since June 2013, where responsibilities include designing and testing immersive training solutions for safety-critical operations as well as creating large-screen and task-based VDU displays for oil and gas control rooms. Previously, Sathiya worked as a Research Assistant at the Maritime Human Factors Laboratory of NTNU Ålesund from January 2012 to June 2013, conducting experiments to assess human factor aspects in offshore maritime operations and utilizing eye tracking equipment for performance measurement. Sathiya holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Product and System Design from NTNU Ålesund and a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Automobile Engineering from Anna University Chennai.
