Galit Cohen currently serves as the Head of the Climate and National Security Program at INSS Israel, a position focused on addressing the implications of climate change for national security in Israel. Prior to this role, Cohen held significant leadership positions at the Ministry of Environmental Protection, including Director General and Senior Deputy Director General for Policy, Planning and Strategy, where responsibilities included formulating and implementing sustainable development goals and initiating major multi-stakeholder reforms. Cohen holds a Master's degree in Environmental Studies and a B.Sc. in Earth Sciences from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
