Laura Frank is an accomplished media leader with extensive experience in journalism and nonprofit management. As the Executive Director and co-founder of COLab, the Colorado News Collaborative, Laura has successfully partnered with over 100 news outlets to enhance local journalism, civic engagement, and innovative business practices. Prior roles include Vice President of Journalism at Rocky Mountain PBS, where Laura led a duPont-winning investigative team, and Executive Director of the I-News Network, where Laura established a nonprofit news organization that thrived with over 100 media partnerships. Laura’s career also features significant investigative reporting roles at major publications, earning recognition for impactful stories that prompted legislative changes. Laura holds a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and has completed prestigious fellowship programs at Columbia University and the University of Southern California.
