Jan English-Lueck is a Distinguished Fellow at the Institute for the Future, specializing in ethnographic forecasting in health, work, and family since 2012, following a tenure as a Research Affiliate from 1993 to 2012. Concurrently, Jan serves as an Applied Anthropologist at San Jose State University since 1991, focusing on research and organizational change in education, health, and technology, and has held the position of Associate Dean of the College of Social Sciences, including an Interim Dean role during the 2014-2015 academic year. Jan has contributed as a Visiting Scholar at the University of Paris 12 (2008-2011), teaching about Silicon Valley's unique cultures, and was a Senior Fulbright Scholar at the University of Hong Kong from 1993 to 1994. Jan holds a Ph.D. in Anthropology from UC Santa Barbara (1976-1985) and a Bachelor's in Anthropology from California State University, Fresno (1971-1976).
