Sami Mäkeläinen

Sami Mäkeläinen is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in strategic foresight, technology insights, and workforce transformation. Currently serving as a Senior Research Affiliate at the Institute for the Future, Sami also leads Transition Level as the Founder, focusing on navigating the transition to automation. Sami holds an Adjunct Senior Industry Fellow position at RMIT University and advises at Emertel, while also being a Fellow at the Institute for Integrated Economic Research and Vice President of the Finland Australia Chamber of Commerce. Previously, Sami excelled at Telstra as Head of Strategic Foresight, and has held various roles at the European Commission, Nokia, and Groundswell Consulting. Sami earned a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Helsinki.
