Elena Manea

Elena Manea is a Seismic Hazard Ground Motion Seismologist at GNS Science since March 2021 and has been a Researcher at the National Institute for Earth Physics since October 2016. Elena also works as a Postdoctoral Researcher at San Diego State University, focusing on complex 3D non-linear wave propagations in Romania and California as part of the Fulbright Postdoctoral Program. Previously, Elena completed a Ph.D. Fellowship at the Swiss Seismological Service, analyzing site effects using 3-D models for Bucharest. Elena holds a Postdoctoral degree in Geological and Earth Sciences from San Diego State University and a Ph.D. in Physical Sciences from the University of Bucharest, along with a specialization certificate in Environmental Science from the University of Geneva.
