Martina Hödl-Baumgartner

Martina Hödl-Baumgartner is a Scientific Officer at the Austrian Academy of Sciences since May 2019. Prior to this role, Martina served as an Advanced Microscopy Applications Specialist at Vienna BioCenter Core Facilities (VBCF) GmbH from January 2019 to April 2019. Martina has extensive research experience as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Copenhagen (March 2013 - April 2018) and the University of Zurich (July 2007 - January 2013), focusing on chromatin replication and Drosophila genetics, respectively. As a PhD student at the University of Zurich, research involved advanced molecular biology techniques. Earlier professional experience includes a Master Student position at the Gregor Mendel Institute and an Assistant to the CEO at Life Science Karriere Services, as well as a student internship at Aarhus University. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Molecular Biology from the University of Zurich and a Master’s degree in Biology/Genetics from the University of Vienna.
