Katherine H. Maas

Katherine H. Maas is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in museum and library services. Currently serving as Chief of Staff at the Institute of Museum and Library Services since January 2010, Katherine has played a critical role in project management for agency leadership and the development of strategic plans. Promoted from staff assistant to program specialist in the Office of Museum Services, Katherine has managed various administrative functions and served as a liaison to the agency's advisory board. Katherine’s prior roles include copyediting for academic publications, managing a historical museum, and interning with organizations focused on cultural heritage.
