Kathy Zappitello is currently the Project Lead and Core Instructor at the Association for Rural & Small Libraries. Since 2009, Zappitello has served as the Executive Director of Conneaut Public Library and has been a Board Member of The Conneaut Foundation and the Community Counseling Center of Ashtabula County since 2015 and 2021, respectively. Zappitello has facilitated corporate training webinars for PCI Webinars since 2013 and reviews grants for the Institute of Museum and Library Services, contributing to the advancement of museums and libraries in the U.S. Additionally, Zappitello has held various roles within the American Library Association, including serving as the 2021 Past President of the Association for Rural & Small Libraries and as a member of the Nominating Committee. Zappitello has also contributed to community engagement as the Chair of the Public and Cultural Programs Advisory Board for the ALA. Past experience includes serving as a Board Member for the Conneaut Area Chamber of Commerce and working as a Dance Instructor at Wildfire Dance Studio until May 2024. Zappitello holds a Bachelor's degree from Kent State University.
